University Communications maintains social media guidelines and best practices to ensure the Oglethorpe community connects thoughtfully, responsibly, and accurately.
All Oglethorpe-affiliated social media accounts must be registered with University Communications. These include accounts for any and all departments, divisions, academic programs, athletic teams, and entities on campus.
Did you know that University Communications also convenes a monthly meeting of the Social Media Users Group (SMUG)? This group helps to ensure consistency across all Oglethorpe-affiliated channels and provides an opportunity to help you to learn social media best practices and trends and to collaborate with other departments.
