UPDATE: Important information for students affected by the recent system outage

Due to widespread outages affecting everyone, the following options are now being extended to ALL STUDENTS
We apologize for the recent IT outage affecting students with last names beginning with the letters A-E. Though no outage is ideal, one during the final exam period is especially stressful. The faculty and administration are concerned about affected students’ abilities to prepare properly for final exams and papers. If your last name begins with the letters A-E, ALL STUDENTS have options if you feel the outage affected your ability to prepare for exams or complete papers.

IF YOU HAVE A FINAL EXAM ON MONDAY:

  • If you feel adequately prepared, then you can take your final exam with the rest of your class.
  • If you feel the outage affected your ability to prepare, then you can reschedule your final exam for later time in the final exam schedule. Please see your professor about these options before the final exam is distributed. There are two open final exam slots: Monday and Tuesday night from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m.
  • If you have completely intractable conflicts with both of the possible revised exam slots, then you should discuss other options with your professor during your scheduled exam time.

IF YOU HAVE A FINAL PAPER DUE:

  • If you feel that your writing process was sufficient, then you can submit your final paper by the regular deadline.
  • If you feel the outage affected your writing process significantly, then you can have an extension of up to 48 hours on your final paper. Please discuss the details of your decision with your professor if you choose to take an extension.

Again, we apologize for this interruption to your learning!
